Our Team

Our team are our most important commodity at Emma's Angels. We employ a variety of staff from different background but whom have the same aim, to provide your child with the best possible opportunities. We strongly promote continuous professional development for our employee's, they attend both regular in house and external training, to broaden they knowledge and skills in caring for children.

Our Management Team are:

Emma Dewhirst, Owner and Manager. Emma has worked at the setting for the past nineteen years and has owned the setting for eleven years. She is qualified to degree level and is passionate about offering a family environment. Emma is one of the Safeguarding leads and SENCO.

Louise Gaze, Deputy Manager Louise has worked for Emma's Angels for ten years. Louise is our Safeguarding Officer and also leads our eco club once a week. Louise is qualified to level three. Louise is currently working towards her Forest School's level 3.

Gemma Swan, EYFS Manager/Nursery Lead. Gemma has worked for Emma's Angels for over seven years. Gemma is responsible for the education within nursery. She is a qualified teacher and works across all three rooms. She leads the EYFS delivery and is also our nursery SENCO. (Leaving December 2019 for maternity)

Carly Blackburn, EYFS Manager/Nursery Lead. Carly has joined the team from November 2019 to work alongside Gemma to ensure a smooth handover in this crucial role. Carly has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has set up and managed her own outstanding childminding business and has recently worked as Deputy Manager in a day nursery.

Each of our rooms has a head of room and deputy head of room. The head of rooms and deputy head of rooms are experienced staff who are passionate about their room and the roles they play. We also have a variety of other qualified and unqualified staff. We aim to have one apprentice at a time, the apprentice will attend college and will train to become a qualified member of staff - embracing our passion for children and there development.
