Our team are our most important commodity at Emma's Angels. We employ a variety of staff from different background but whom have the same aim, to provide your child with the best possible opportunities. We strongly promote continuous professional development for our employee's, they attend both regular in house and external training, to broaden they knowledge and skills in caring for children.
Our Management Team are:
Emma Dewhirst, Owner and Manager. Emma has worked at the setting for the past twenty years and has owned the setting for twelve years. She is qualified to degree level and is passionate about offering a family environment. Emma is one of the Safeguarding leads and SENCO.
Carly Blackburn, EYFS Manager/Nursery Lead. Carly joined the team in November 2019 and worked alongside our current EYFS Manager to ensure a smooth handover in this crucial role before she left for maternity Carly has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has set up and managed her own outstanding childminding business and has recently worked as Deputy Manager in a day nursery.
Sophie Macdonald, Third in Charge. Sophie joined the Emma's Angels team over 7 year's ago as an apprentice. Throughout her time here she has shown true dedication to her role. Sophie has worked as our Pre-school Manager for a number of year's now, more recently being promoted to Third in Charge.
Each of our rooms has a Room Manager and Senior Early Year's Practitioner. The Room Manager's and the Senior staff are experienced staff who are passionate about their room and the roles they play. We also have a variety of other qualified and unqualified staff. We aim to have one apprentice at a time, the apprentice will attend college and will train to become a qualified member of staff - embracing our passion for children and there development.
From September 2020 we will be fully embedding the forest school's ethos, lead by our Forest School Leader - Debbie. Debbie will be leading sessions throughout the week initially in pre-school and the out of school club. Once it is fully embedded into our initial rooms, Debbie will be implementing it throughout the setting even involving our youngest children in baby room.
This is to ensure that experience using the website is the best possible.
